Cusumano Jale

Cusumano's Chardonnay “Jalé” is a Sicilian wine in which the production philosophy of Diego and Alberto, brothers who own the winery, can be appreciated. The varietal is in fact respected to the maximum, thus allowing you to savor a bottle which, on the nose, clearly reveals the profile of Chardonnay. The refreshing sip then pursues an idea of ​​modern drinkability , a fundamental concept for Cusumano in every label produced. The “Jalé” Cusumano originates from Chardonnay grapes used in purity, grown with the low espalier system in the vineyards located within the Piana degli Albanesi, at a height above sea level of approximately 700-800 meters. The exposure faces south, and the terroir is characterized by being composed of a clay-loam matrix. After pressing the grapes, a cold maceration is carried out, and the must ferments in oak barriques where the temperature is kept under control. The final refinement has a overall duration of 12 months : for the first six it takes place in oak barriques, while the last six months is carried out in glass, once the "Jalè" is bottled.

Cusumano's Chardonnay “Jalé” white wine moves in the glass with a tone that recalls the color of gold, with a beautiful intensity. The nose opens on notes of tropical fruit, then moving towards more buttery touches and nuances that move from mineral towards bread crust and smoke. When tasted, it is medium-bodied, with a large and enveloping sip characterized by good freshness and an interesting palatal persistence.
