Ben Ryé “Donnafugata” is a complex and satisfying Passito di Pantelleria that certainly surprises with its very long persistence. Obtained from Zibibbo grapes, from vines grown in the “alberello pantesco” style, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Complex and captivating, it is among the most appreciated Italian sweet wines in the world. Ben Ryé offers a broad and enveloping bouquet, characterized above all by pleasant mineral hints. Ben Ryé has a golden color with bright amber reflections. A very intense bouquet with fruity notes of apricot, yellow peach and candied orange peel, tropical notes of mango and papaya, followed by hints of Mediterranean scrub.
In the mouth you can find fruity notes and hints of aromatic herbs, combined with sweet nuances of honey. Intense and persistent, with an extraordinary balance between freshness and sweetness. Aged in the tank for 4 months and at least 10 months in the bottle before being marketed. Perfect with dry pastries, chocolate and tarts with jam or ricotta.
Also try with blue cheeses and foie gras. Extraordinary on its own, as a meditation wine.
