Alta Mora Etna White

The Etna Bianco “Alta Mora” wine is a product whose class lies in the beautiful harmony found on the palate, where freshness and minerality they come together in a sip of great charm. A label with which Cusumano, a large Sicilian production company, confirms the quality of the "Alta Mora" project, which led the brothers Diego and Alberto to purchase, in 2013, the first three districts on the northern side of Etna. A high-level label, which comes from volcanic soils, and which brings with it the strength of this wonderful part of Sicily.

The “Alta Mora” Etna Bianco comes from the grapes of a large native white grape variety, the Carricante. The vines of this variety are grown with espalier, in vineyards located approximately 600 meters above sea level, in the surroundings of Milo and Castiglione di Sicilia. The terroir is characterized by a purely volcanic terrain. The grapes, once harvested and brought to the rooms used for winemaking, are softly pressed, to then undergo static decantation; the alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel. Still in steel, the wine remains to mature on the fine lees for approximately 4 months, until the bottling operations begin.

Etna Bianco “Alta Mora” appears to the eye with a straw yellow color, crossed by flashes tending towards golden. The olfactory spectrum denotes mainly mineral sensations, enriched by touches of smoke and aromatic herbs. On the palate it is light-bodied, dynamic and drinkable , with a sip characterized by a savory trail, which continues into the finish, with excellent persistence. The Cusumano winery, with this bottle, presents a very successful Sicilian wine, which brings national and international critics into agreement with excellent scores.
